The Francis Marion Hotel is situated in Charleston, SC, a historic city known for its Calhoun and King streets. This hotel was built in the early 1920s during the golden age of the railroads and named after the war hero, the "swamp fox". It underwent a complete renovation in 1996 and now offers 235 guest rooms, exclusive suites, and 18,000 square feet of event space, including three lavish ballrooms - the Carolina, Colonial, and Gold rooms - and the Swamp Fox restaurant. The hotel is located directly across from Marion Square Park, where many local events take place. As a Charleston wedding photographer, I love this hotel for its historical background and access to the city's unique charm, which allows me to capture stunning images that truly depict Charleston. My clients can enjoy the hotel's amenities while also taking advantage of the city's rich history. For example, I recently created an amazing image for a couple, and although it may appear simple, it required careful planning to capture the perfect lighting and ambiance of the Bentley in the dark interior.
