Nothing better then the great life I have, has two weekend ago, I had the pleasure of driving to Hilton head SC, at the gorgeous venue of Sea Pines resort to photograph jenna & Sean Houts wedding a little history about my clients.
Jenna was born and raised in State College, Pa where she attended State College Area High School and graduated in 1998. Went on to attend PSU, graduated in 2002, she now work with my Father at Senior and Associates. Sean was born in Salt Lake City and moved to State College, Pa where he attended State College Area High School and graduated in 1997. After graduation Sean started college at PSU and graduated in 2001. Sean has currently been working for Exxon Mobil for the past 10 years.
In Jenna Words “On December 21, 2010, a routine bone chilling night in State College, Sean asked me if I wanted to go for a walk around campus before meeting his sister out for dinner downtown. I already questioned why Sean hadn’t fought the idea of running 8 miles with me earlier that afternoon and was a little skeptical why we parked in front of the restaurant and couldn’t just wait inside where it was warm but reluctantly I went for the walk.
Still chilled to the core after the run, I made every attempt to take the short cut paths on campus back to the restaurant but Sean kept stalling and insisted on taking the long way, at one point stopping to sit on a bench below Old Main. It was at this point that I realized something was up. Then in front of the Christmas Tree across the street from the Allen Street Grill, I looked up only to see our families holding up a sign – “Will you marry me?” and I turned around to find Sean on one knee….. tying his shoe and asking “who do you think the sign is for”
That brings us to the wedding in Hilton Head South Carolina, our family have been going on vacation there for a long time, and that is why we picked this beautiful place.
The wedding ceremony took place on the golf course on the 18 hole overlooking the water and the lighthouse with wonderful friends and families, after the ceremony I took the couple to the beach, I had talked the client into kicking it up a notch and came up with a surfboards theme, so I went looking around in HHI prior to the ceremony, I was very fortunate to come across Fuel Station surf shop Brandon Atkinson, got us two boards and the rest was up to us to create these images, the result was nothing short of amazing the bridesmaid were red dresses and the guys had very nice khaki suits, it was a terrific wedding, the reception took place at the Plantation Club coordinated by Ann Czeniak we all had a great time, see for yourself and enjoy….!
